Three monks got involved in a fight at the Ningguo temple, in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, on April 24. According to thepaper.cn, the monks are all mid-level managers at the temple. The video shows several monks and tourists trying to stop the fighters in front of the temple. The head monk of the Ningguo temple has dismissed all three monks, and said, “We insist on [following] the principal of quality over quantity,” over Wechat, a Chinese social media platform. The head monk added that they broke the principle of Buddhism and set a bad example for society.The video has gone viral and led to a heated discussion. @Adolph said, “Some of the monks in the temple nowadays are not sincerely Buddhism converts. Many normal people are more religious than monks.” Some monks have proven to be frauds, and cases have continually occurred in China, leaving an even worse impression of the monk to the wider public.

PM Oli clarified that no confidential information would be leaked on the cards adding that the government was serious in terms of security of the nation and its citizens. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday urged all sides to cooperate in the National Identity Card issuing process as the government has been working to launch the cards regarding the issue of national security and the need of the hour. Speaking in the meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) under the Legislature-Parliament today, PM Oli drew the attention of the lawmakers not to suspect the government’s activities thinking that there might be weaknesses in the process. He added that the government was not doing its homework based on the assumption, rather following the due processes and according to the need of the hour. He added that the people and nation should take advantage from National Identity Card system. PM Oli also expressed his satisfaction over the concern and cooperation of the Committee as it was helping the process with deeper analysis in this connection.PM Oli further expected cooperation from the Committee to forward the process.The government has been trying to issue such identity cards and replace the citizenship certificates.

Educational Background

The Gandaki River is one of the major rivers of Nepal and a left bank tributary of the Ganges in India. In Kagbeni a major tributary named Johng Khola, Kak Khola or Krishnaa descends from Muktinath.

1974 AD [2]is a national Nepali rock band, formed in Kathmandu, Nepal in the early 1990s. They experiment with various genre of music including Nepali folk, ragas, rock, funk, blues and jazz as well. 1974 AD are amongst the most successful recording artists in Nepal. Most of their albums are ranked among the top-ten best-selling albums according to the Hits FM of Nepal. Their concert name being 'Rock Yatra,' in 2000 AD was watched by more than 60,000 people, the largest attendance for a concert in Nepal.The group was formed during the 90s era by a group of teachers from Gyanodaya School in Lalitpur. The founding members included guitarist Phiroj Shyangden, bassist Nirakar Yakthumba, drummer Bhanu A. During the early days the band used to play various genres including hard rock, heavy metal, rock and blues. Drummer Bhanu A was very much into blues music. Whenever they played cover tunes he was the one singing Gary Moore numbers like "Walking by Myself". They played several gigs around Kathmandu where they used to cover numbers from Bryan Adams, Deep Purple and other rock groups. Phiroj Shyangden is one of the best guitarists in Nepali rock scene.

Earthquake Real Hero Inspector Laxman Basnet has Rescue Pemba Lama from Gongabu, Kathmandu, Nepal.A 15-year-old boy has been rescued alive from a Gongabu-based guest house on Thursday, 120 hours after the Great Quake on Saturday. A rescue team under Armed Police Force Inspector Laxman Bahadur Basnet rescued Pemba Lama, a resident of Nuwakot, from underneath the debris of the guest house after five hours of rescue operation. Lama, a worker at the guest house, was trapped inside the building where four guest houses, Bhuwaneshwori, Dipawali, Hilton and New Star, were operational.

Kanak Mani Dixit, the Nepali editor arrested on Friday over corruption charges, was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu on Saturday. Diplomatic sources in Nepal told The Hindu that there could be more arrests by the organisation which has launched a war on corruption.A press release issued by the CIAA’s spokesperson Krishnahari Pushkar also accused Mr. Dixit of causing financial loss to Sajha Yatayat, the cooperative public transport initiative that he heads. It stated that Mr. Dixit, by using illegal means, had transferred ownership of real estate belonging to Jagadamba Rana and the late Madan Shasher Rana, famed celebrity figures from the Nepali royal family, to himself. The arrest was the culmination of a legal and political tug of war which began in December 2015 when the CIAA sent a show-cause notice to a group of prominent Nepali citizens demanding the details of their income. Mr. Dixit approached the Supreme Court of Nepal challenging the legality of the decision, but had also submitted details to the CIAA on January 24.

According to the police, Bipin Yadav aka Mohammad Fahad, who was arrested on January 1, following the shooting of Aftaf Alam Ansari at Jitpur Bhawanipur VDC-3 in Bara, is the same person who shot Faizan. There he met Aditya Pal aka Gargi and Sartaj who were introduced by Akram. Fahad got IRs 18,000 from Akram. The next day, Fahad met Akram in Ratnapark and explained the details about the murder and gave him the identity of Faizan. During the shooting, they were assisted by taxi driver Dhan Bahadur Ale Magar who dropped them off to Ghantaghar and then later left them at Bhadrakali. Fahad said that among the four, Pal and Sartaj had kept their eye on the police while the two shot him from point-blank range. Ale Magar is in jail for his involvement

The government announced on Friday that it would be making another bid to implement a card system for the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) after the first two attempts ended in fiasco. The planned card system would support the scheme to use colour-coded cylinders for domestic and industrial users. Under this system, household buyers would get LPG in red cylinders at a subsidized rate while industrial users would get it in blue cylinders which would be sold at the full price. The card system was expected to make the LPG distribution channel transparent and hassle-free, besides curbing rampant black marketeering and hoarding. However, the card system was a non-starter as bottlers refused to cooperate complaining about the increased cost of using two types of cylinders.In 2012, the government inaugurated the system with much fanfare, issuing the first card to the then prime minister Baburam Bhattarai. A total of 632,000 such cards were distributed. Former chief of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Chandika Prasad Bhatta, who had planned to enforce the dual cylinder system from January 29, 2015, was removed from the post two days before the scheduled launch, allegedly under the influence of bottlers. Following his ouster, the plan was not implemented.
